Anyone who employs staff in their household automatically becomes an employer. As a private employer, you need to be aware of your rights and duties.
Here’s a brief overview of the tasks that you can delegate to KLARA.

The job contract contains details of the hourly wage and the holiday and absence regulations, among other issues. It is based on the standard employment contract, which contains different provisions in each canton.

The KLARA Home Easy package offers you comprehensive insurance: accident, collision damage and legal expenses insurance for just CHF 2.10 per hour worked.

As an employer, you are obliged to compensate your domestic workers in the event that they become ill. This is usually done by taking out daily allowance insurance.

Even a small income is enough to insure your domestic workers against poverty in their old age. All paid employment is liable for contributions.

As a private employer, you are obliged to provide your domestic workers with a salary statement each year – unless they do not qualify for withholding tax.
